What is the best aerobic exercise?

When it comes to vegan fitness what is the best cardio exercise for burning fat and getting into shape?

Before I tell you let’s look at the criteria I used to make my decision.

The best aerobic exercise should:

• Burn calories

• Reduce stress

• Make you happy

• Make your heart stronger

• Make your lungs more efficient

• Make your body feel good

• Make you feel strong and confident

• Increase your vitality

• Be fun!

That last bullet is the most important because if you don’t enjoy what you are doing you probably won’t stick to your vegan fitness plan.

So, what is the best cardio exercise?

The absolute best cardio exercise is one you enjoy doing.

Yes, some forms of cardio burn more calories than others, running vs. walking for example. But, if you don’t like to run you won’t do it for long.

Here are a few questions to help you discover your personal best aerobic exercise.

Do you prefer exercising alone or in groups?

Do you prefer being outdoors or inside?

Do you generally enjoy exercising?

If you said you enjoy exercising and you prefer to exercise in groups, then perhaps starting or joining a vegan fitness group would be perfect for you.

If you said you don’t enjoy exercising, you prefer being alone, outdoors, then a regular walk might be perfect for you.

Enjoy What You Do!

The important thing is that you move your body on a regular basis—everyday. You are more likely to stick to your vegan fitness program if you enjoy what you are doing. The best cardio exercise is the one you do consistently. Take some time to find an activity you enjoy.

If you don’t like what you are doing try something else. Here are some options:

Running

Swimming

• Cycling

Walking

• Dancing

• Jogging

• Mountain biking

• Inline skating

The Best Cardio Exercise For Me Is...

One of my all time favorite types of cardio in my vegan fitness program is running(I do it barefoot). I feel like I get so much done in such a short time. If you have never tried running I suggest you give it try.
