Day 10 of The 30 Day Raw Vegan Fruit Project

Raw Vegan Fruit Project:

Today's featured fruit is the Peach!

Let's get you started with some fun information:

-One medium fruit has just 40 calories and is an excellent source of Vitamins A and C. They are a low calorie, high nutrient food that would make an excellent "staple" in your summertime diet.

-They have diuretic and laxative properties.

-They can help stimulate your digestive juices, and they also help add color to your complexion. Sheesh! Eat some peaches--you'll look and feel so much better!

-If you're needing to purge some intestinal worms, peach leaf tea is the thing for you! Brew a batch, and say good-bye to those worms!

-They were first cultivated in China, and have been around for thousands of years.

-Today, 36 of the 50 U.S States actually grow them, which is unusual for a fruit, and over 300 varieties are grown in the U.S. alone!

-There are 2 types of peac*hes--clingstone and freestone. The "clingstone" peaches are eaten mostly canned (because the flesh of the peach "clings" more tightly to the pit. The "freestone" variety are mostly eaten fresh and raw, because the flesh separates more easily from the pit.

Now it's time for your LOW FAT, RAW VEGAN RECIPE!

PEACHES AND CREAM

This Low fat, Raw, and Vegan delight will make you smile--maybe even giggle! It's light, refreshing, and fun to eat! Peac*hes and Cream contains 320 calories.

Ingredients:

3 medium peac*hes, chopped into bite-sized chunks

2 ripe bananas

1 tablespoon water

1/8-1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation:

Put those lovely peac*h chunks into a bowl. Blend the bananas, water and vanilla, then drizzle over the peac*hes. It's done! Your bowl of complete and total loveliness is done! Enjoy! (For a richer, sweeter treat, add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon agave nectar and a pinch of sea salt.)

Eat some peaches! They'll help you look and feel prettier and poop more!
