Raw Food & Fitness-Day 15

Day 15 of our 100-Day Raw Food & Fitness Challenge.

Our Problem

A while back(maybe day 3 or 4) we mentioned we were having a hard time with cravings and feeling really hungry. Here is the story of what happened:

Long before we started our 100-Day challenge we studied 3 books about raw food, Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine by Dr. Gabriel Cousens, The Sunfood Diet Success System by David Wolfe and The 80/10/10 Diet by Dr. Douglas N. Graham. After reading these books, contemplating their strengths and weaknesses and considering what we know or feel to be true, we decided that Dr. Graham's book made the most sense. We decided we would eat a low-fat, fruit and greens, raw vegan diet, like Dr. Graham suggested.

So, a few days before our challenge started we went to the grocery store and loaded up on our favorite fruits and veggies. On about day 3 we were mostly out of fruit and eating a lot of greens. Well, we weren't getting near enough calories so we started having these intense cravings for all kinds of cooked foods and we ended up eating a lot of nuts. This left us feeling tired and mucousy.

Our Solution

We solved our problem with the 3 P's- Plan, Prepare, PackWe planned out what we were going to need. (loads of delicious fruit!) Prepared our greens by washing them in advance. Packed food with us to prevent "emergency" hunger.

Since implementing the 3 P's we have been doing great sticking to our 80/10/10 Diet
