Raw Food & Fitness-Day 2

Day 2 of the our 100 Day Raw Food and Fitness Experiment

Kirsten:

I woke up feeling depressed today. I felt exhausted and unmotivated. After just one day I’m ready to stop. I wanted to bake cookies and eat lots of chocolate. I wanted to stay in bed and sleep... But I got up. Changed and dressed Wesley, put him in the “wrappy” and did an hour on the elliptical while the older kiddos were still sleeping. I had some date rolls and walnuts before exercising, just three. The kids woke-up, we read a little “Jack and Annie” and Mother Goose, then we headed out onto the path for a run/bike ride/stroller ride. I felt so so so much better after just 30 minutes on the elliptical! Exercise is an awesome mood booster! I started thinking how sad it is that so many people don’t exercise regularly (I wish more people did--I’m certain it could change their lives drastically!) I’m doing just fine today. I can do this.

Derrick:

Today was my 2nd day raw at work. It felt great. I may be fooling myself but I already feel better after just one day. I feel lighter and more energetic. It could be just because I got to sleep in a little too. After work I went on a short(1.5 mile) run and then did 30 minutes of resistance training. Diet for today was:

5 or 6 apples

1 Banana

4 Medjool Dates

A handful of Raw Walnuts

A handful of Raw Cashews

2 Carrots

1 Cucumber

1 head of Romaine Lettuce
