Raw Food & Fitness-Day 3

Day 3 of our 100 Day Raw Food & Fitness Experiment

So far so good. Kirsten and I are both feeling good. It is only day three after all. We expect things to be fairly easy at this point. Hopefully throughout the entire 100 days.

Food

Food today was:

•apples: 3-4 each

•oranges: 1-2 each

•carrots: about 1/2 pound

•cucumbers: 2 big ones

•red leaf lettuce: 2 heads

•about 4 ounces(combined) of cashews, and walnuts.

Friends

We visited some of our best friends, Emily and Kevin, today. We met them about 10 years ago at an Earthsave vegetarian potluck. At the time we were all young and childless. Today Emily and Kevin have two wonderful boy and we have a beautiful girl and two handsome boys.

Our children have been vegan from birth. Eris, our daughter was breastfed until she was around 3. Max, our first son was breastfed for about 2.5 years. Wesley our second son is just about 3 months old. He was a little over 8 pounds at birth and is almost 17 pounds three months later.

Breastfeeding is definitely the best thing to do for your children. None of our children has ever had the typical ear infections so many children get and rarely have they been sick. Breastfeeding and a vegan diet are the best way to Disease-Proof Your Child

Anyway, back to our visit with Emily and Kevin. It was great to see them. They live about 14 hours away so we don't see them often. It was nice to be just starting out on our 100 Day Raw Food & Fitness Experiment and have the support and encouragement of people we love.
