I want to share a recipe for a scrumptious sweet raw vegan treat with all of you. It's quick and easy to make, and full of yumminess for you and anyone else you want to share this delicious goodie!
All you need to create this masterpiece is:
Raw Raisin Walnut Treats
a food processor (or blender if your blender can chop nuts and raisins)
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup raw walnuts
1 cup raisins
1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preparation:
I like to put the raisins in first just to make sure they get chopped up a bit. However, for some mysterious reason, sometimes the raisins break-up beautifully and sometimes they stay stubbornly whole--no biggie though; if this happens to you, the flavor of these Raisin Walnut Treats is just as magnificent.
Ok, so you've put the raisins in your food processor, chopped them up a bit--now it's time to add the walnuts and cinnamon. Process this mixture until the walnuts are finely ground and everything sticks together nicely. Shape this sticky numminess into balls, bars, or whatever suits your Raw Vegan Treat fancy! Store covered in your fridge.
