Kirsten: Ok, it’s Day 6 of our 100-day Raw Food and Fitness Challenge, and I desperately want to make cookies!!! I need some cookie dough right now. The 2 older kids have been fighting all morning and I’m so very tired of it. I just want some chocolate, not raw cacao, but smooth, rich, slightly sweet dark chocolate!
I exercised on the elliptical this morning, wearing Wesley in the Moby Wrap for the majority of the workout. It’s pouring rain outside and we desperately need to get out, but my oldest refuses to go for a bike ride in the rain (she no longer fits in the jogger stroller---isn’t there a stroller for kids from about 5-7 yrs.?). Exercising outside is so much more therapeutic than a workout indoors, but when the weather isn’t cooperating, I’ll make due...I’m fortunate, I know. I do have a machine for inside exercise…
Derrick:Up at 4:10am and off to train my clients. Being raw at work is really easy. I am so busy I don't have a lot of time to think about food.
Rob, a co-worker and I went for a 4 mile run out in the rain. We got drenched, it was great.
It is after work, when I am really hungry that I start craving all kinds of non-raw food. Today it was chips and salsa. I have no idea why. They sure sounded delicious though. Instead I ate some more carrots. Somehow not quite the same but I am OK with that. I would rather enjoy long-term health than the short-term pleasure of chips.
