Raw Food Day 63

A Question

Are we humans the only living creatures on the planet who knowingly, consciously, sometimes deliberately do things to harm ourselves and shorten our life spans?

No other animals do things, then continue to do those same things despite study after study, doctor after doctor, death after death telling them that behavior or habit is slowly eating away at their lives and killing them!

Here are just a handful of the behaviors we humans REPEATEDLY "do" that we all KNOW harm our health and take away our life and vitality:

Smoking

Eating high fat, high salt foods

Eating refined grain (white flour especially) products

Eating tons and tons of sugar-laden "foods"

Spending hours sitting in front of a TV

Choosing not to exercise

Drinking too much alcohol

Eating dairy products

Eating animals

Each and every one of the above "acts"(and many more I'm sure you can think of) have been scientifically proven to cause numerous deadly diseases, lessen the quality of our lives, and shorten our life spans, and yet we continue, day after day, hour after hour, forkful after forkful to do these same things! Why are we more than happy to do the things that kill us (doesn't just the thought of eating chocolate cake make you giddy?), but reluctant and full of dread (how do you feel when you think about exercising, or eating a huge green salad?) when a "health improving" opportunity comes our way?

It seems to me, we're consciously choosing to slowly kill ourselves instead of doing all we can to live health-filled, amazingly vibrant lives, like eating a raw food diet.
