Raw Food & Fitness-Day 70

Today is day 70 of our 100-Day Raw Food & Fitness Journey!

Kirsten and I just got back from a run and we've got a little post-workout high going. We feel great.

Do you do cardio?

Here are some things it will do for you:

• Strengthens your heart

• Increases your capillary density(the number of blood vessels feeding your heart & muscles)

• Increases your ability to utilize oxygen

• Increases your ability to get rid of carbon dioxide

• Increases the size & number of your mitochondria(the powerhouses of your cells)

• Increases you ability to burn fat

• Cause your body to release endorphins, opiate like chemicals that enhance your mood

In short doing cardio will increase your health and vitality, boost your energy levels and make you feel amazing!

So, do some cardio today. Take a walk. Go for a bike ride or jog. Dance naked through your neighborhood.

Just honor your fitness level. Do what you can, not what you think you should. Start slow and go for it!
