Raw Food & Fitness-Day 80

It's day 80 of our Raw Food and Fitness Journey!

It's a gray and gloomy day here in the Pacific Northwest. It's one of those days where both Derrick and I want to spend the day watching movies and eating all of our favorite cooked vegan comfort foods (vegan pizza, potato chips, cookies, hot chocolate); you know, all those heavenly high fat, sweet or salty foods.

But we're continuing our Raw Food and Fitness Journey, and complaining about the weather as we munch on apples and bananas!

We went for a walk today, though. A super fast walk with a huge hill (we went up the hill 5 times) will make almost anyone feel oodles better!

Even if you're having a yucky day, today or otherwise, go do something good for yourself. Do just ONE thing that you're positively certain will make you feel better! And I'm not talking about eating chocolate, ice cream,or a bag of potato chips. I'm talking about those things we're a little hesitant to do at first, but know that once we do them we'll feel immensely better!

For instance:

take a walk

go for a run

turn on some crazy music and dance like never before

eat some leafy greens in a lovely raw food salad

do some stretching or yoga

write in a journal

meditate, or take several deep breaths in a quiet space

Just do one tiny kind and loving thing for yourself. I promise you're mood will improve, and you'll be much more fun to be around. That tiny thing may not make your day the best you've ever had, but it could make the moments following your doing that tiny thing more wonderful.

No matter what the weather, no matter what you're craving, it's simple...
