It's Day 98 of our 100-day Raw Food and Fitness Journey!

Today's Success Tip Is: Before you start a health journey clearly, concretely define a compelling reason for doing what you are about to do. In other words, define your motivation.

What is your motivation? Your motive for action? What powerful, irresistible reason is driving you to be different? Why you want to change. Be specific.

It is important to clearly define why you want to take action. Being crystal clear about why you want to change is the fuel which drives you forward.

Sometimes all we have is a vague notion of why we want to be different.

If someone asked, “why do you want to eat a raw food diet?” Your answer might be something like, “to look better,” or “to feel better.” Great. Why?

Why is it important to you to look better or feel better, or to be stronger, leaner and healthier? Why is it important?

What is the reason behind the want?

What inspires your desires?

That is your motivation. Your motive to take action, to change your diet, to increase your fitness level, to lose weight, to increase your energy.

The process of defining your motivation is enlightening. To sit down and figure out exactly why you want to change is transformational. You begin to connect your goal to your deepest values and beliefs about who you are and who you want to be.

So, what is your motivation?
