The best exercises for weight loss and wellness--The Bend and Reach

The bend-and-reach is an amazing exercise for your hamstrings, the back of your leg, your butt, and of course, your balance.

It is important to make sure the strength in the back of your legs balances out with the strength in the front of your legs. This balance in strength from front to back will not only keep your legs working well it will also help prevent injury.

The bend-and-reach will make the backs of your legs look long and sleek and make your backside look firm and perky.

How to do a Bend and Reach:

Start with your right foot forward in a split stance position. (One foot in front, one in the back) Stand with 90% of your weight on your font foot.

Start the motion by bending at the hip and reaching your left hand out and towards the floor. Keep your back as straight as you can. Finish by returning to standing position. After you do 15 to 20 on one side switch and do the other.

When your right foot is on the floor reach with your left hand and when your left foot is on the floor reach with your right hand.
