Burpies Aka: Squat Thrusts

Burn Fat, Boost Your Metabolism, Define Your Abs and Strengthen Your Ams

Here is a fabulous exercise that will strengthen your core, tone up your arms, and add some definition to your legs--all in one quick movement.

This a great exercise to sandwich between sets of less demanding exercises. Doing that will keep your fat burning on high.

Here is what the Squat Thrust or Burpee does for you:

• Flattens and strengthens your stomach

• Strengthens and tones the backs of your arms

• Strengthens and tones your shoulders

• Gets your heart rate up and burns a ton of calories.

How to do Burpies:

Start with your feet shoulder-width apart.Squat and place the palms of your hands on the floor in front of you.

In one explosive movement, jump or step both legs back so your body is straight from your heals to the top of your head. (yoga’s “plank pose”).

Jump feet to hands, then stand or jump up

Repeat 10-20 times.

Remember to breathe.
