Delicious Vegan Recipes for Vibrant Living!

Toasted Nuts and Seeds

Toast your favorite nuts and seeds and use for a tasty snack, as a crunchy topping for a salad, or add to soy yogurt and chopped fresh fruit. Nuts and seeds are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and other phyto-nutrients.

Ingredients:

1 cup walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, or other nuts and seeds

1 tablespoon maple syrup

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon chili powder

Preperation:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line with parchment paper, or lightly oil a cookie sheet and set aside. Place all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and stir until well combined. Evenly spread nut/seed mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes, or until nuts/seeds are golden. Remove from oven and let cool completely. Keep refrigerated.
